STAFF from Safedem and GHA went back to school to deliver a talk about
\nthe regeneration plans for Red Road.<\/p>\n

Safedem Community Liaison Manager Tracey Sinclair and GHA Regeneration
\nOfficer Tom Graham visited the S1 class at All Saints Secondary School
\nin Barmulloch in early November.<\/p>\n

The schoolchildren are working on an Award Scheme Development and
\nAccreditation Network (ASDAN) qualification.<\/p>\n

The scheme offer programmes and qualifications that grow skills for
\nlearning, skills for employment and skills for life.<\/p>\n

One of the challenges within the scheme is to identify a community topic
\nand develop skills using this topic.<\/p>\n

Drama Teacher Julie Harris approached Safedem as the class was keen to
\nfind out more about the demolition of the Red Road flats, the
\nregeneration plans for the area and the impact upon the local community<\/p>\n

The pupils will now use this presentation\u00a0to work on the challenges set within the ASDAN programme and\u00a0to create a piece of drama in school.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
